Phlebotomist (Contractual)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team at Life Medical Clinic, Tamarin, on a six-month contractual basis starting from 1 March 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely collect blood and other biological specimens using approved techniques.
Ensure correct patient identification and accurate specimen labelling. - Handle, store, and transport specimens in line with SOPs and safety standards.
- Prepare samples for testing and maintain proper documentation and logs.
- Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and professionalism.
- Observe patients for any adverse reactions and respond appropriately.
Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment. - Assist laboratory staff with routine tasks as required.
- Monitor and report phlebotomy supply levels.
Strictly adhere to infection control, safety, and biohazard protocols. - Collect payments for laboratory services and ensure accurate cash handling.
- Hand over payments promptly to the Accounts Department.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and financial information.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Phlebotomist or Nursing Officer.
- Retired nurses are welcome to apply.
- Valid driving licence and private car (travelling allowance provided to and from Tamarin).
- Good health condition.
